Movie E: Movement of GFP cells from the bulb up the can be seen in these loop of static images. Cloistered GFP clones in a representative whisker, cultured for 5 d, were photographed from the same vantage point on successive days  UV epi-illumination. GIF images were collected into a movie loop and transition frames were added with GIFBuilder. the bulb is to the left, the bulge to the right of the image.
