Welcome to the Washington University School of Medicine and the Department of Developmental Biology (DB). To help you get off to a fast start we have put together the following information to guide you through the necessary paperwork and training for new employees.

Things to Do Your First Day
Complete these forms:
Proof of Identity
You must provide proof of identity on your first day of employment. 
Generally accepted documents include a driver’s license, passport, Social
Security card, etc. For a full listing of acceptable documents please access the
federal I-9 form (must be completed on your 1st day) and description
.

Direct Deposit Form
Your paycheck will be available to you in the DB Office each payday. However, complete this form if you wish to have your paycheck direct deposited to your bank or other financial institution.

New Employee Orientation
Washington University School of Medicine’s New Employee Orientation Program is MANDATORY for all new staff. Orientations take place four days each month and MUST be scheduled by a DB Office HRMS representative. All arrangements for WU benefits will be handled at your orientation.

You will be given instructions as to how to obtain the above when you visit the Administrative offices.

Lunch
There are a variety of dining establishments throughout the med school campus.

Faculty and Staff Meal Plan - Your Faculty/Staff I.D. Card can also be your "meal ticket". Click here for info on this "cashless system".
