Electron Microscopy Pricing Guidelines

Effective April 1, 2006

Transmission Electron Microscopy

• Embedding- $100 per sample (each sample may contain up to 10 blocks of the same tissue)

Electron Microscopy Photography  (SEM or TEM)

• Use of the microscope will be $50 per hour (scheduled through Histo & Micro)
• The lab will provide two hours of basic microscope training @ $50 per hour 
• Consultation or assistance with microscopy will be $75 per hour       

Immuno-Electron Microscopy

• The preparation and embedding fee will be charged at the submission of samples.  Immuno EM can not be guaranteed—the preparation fee will be charged irregardless of experimental outcome.
• Please consult with Howard Wynder hwynder@wustl.edu (747-1360) prior to submitting samples for ImmunoEM.
• Specimens from outside the Washington University community will be charged an additional 20% per experiment.
